Zero Waste Roadmap
I delivered a zero waste roadmap for an Australian client. To deliver this package of work, we first developed a baseline of waste generation data, by type. From here my team and I identified strategies to reduce or recycle each waste stream and engaged with the waste sector market to identify options for challenging waste streams. We prioritised higher order strategies, that reduce waste generation.
I ran a workshop with internal and external waste sector attendees to test strategies, identify barriers and enablers for each option. These were then collated to identify a timeframe and cost for implementation.
The results were written up in a strategy with a multi-criteria analysis (MCA) delivered on the most significant and challenging waste stream that had more than one recycling and recovery option. This MCA helped to identify the most valuable, comprehensive and reliable option for the organisation.
This package of work provided my client with confidence that their internal zero waste goal was achievable and insights on timeframe and costs for each option.
