In March 2022, I was proud to be part of the CSIRO Ending Plastic Waste mission launch. Our goal was an 80% reduction in plastic waste reaching the environment by 2030. In order to launch this mission, my work was to develop a portfolio of projects, industry partners and drive collaboration across CSIRO. I am proud to have developed significant industry investment into plastic projects in recycling, packaging, life cycle analysis, ghost nets and disposable nappy recycling.

With sufficient projects and industry support, this Mission was launched the then CSIRO CEO - Larry Marshall.. As part of this launch, I was pleased to engage in media interviews via radio and on live TV for ABC news to discuss plastics recycling.
